Glens Falls Robbery

GLENS FALLS: On Monday November 5, 2007 Stephen M. Jones, age 24, allegedly broke into the house of Mildred R. Clay, age 58. Jones stole $110 for bus money, to go to Philadelphia, Penn. to visit his family. Nobody was hurt. No one witnessed him break in, but he did leave some fingerprints which helped the police prosecute him. Mrs. Clay came home at 2:00P.M. to her house on 38 Chester St. Glens Falls, NY, from Bridge Club. Mrs. Clay wasn’t home during the incident.

 

          Mr. Jones was arrested before, and could possibly go to prison for 2 years.  He was charged  with  second degree burglary. The police heard from one of his family members that he went to Philadelphia. They sent police to search there, and found him on November 6, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. He had confessed to Glens Falls police that he stole the money, and was drinking. He was charged with a felony .
