2 Individuals Test Positive for COVID-19
News Image

Dear Hadley-Luzerne School Community,

The District has confirmed that two individuals, one in the High School and one in the Elementary, have tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals will have to quarantine and be cleared by the Department of Health before returning to school.

Fortunately, the individual in the High School was last on campus prior to the holiday break so there is no immediate risk of COVID-19 exposure.

The individual in the Elementary building was last in the building on Friday, January 8, 2021. As a result, those in close proximity have been directly contacted by a school administrator to discuss quarantine procedures and/or other health-related instructions.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Please note that our goal in sharing this information is to ensure that our district families are always up to date with what is happening in our community. This notification to parents and guardians is part of our commitment to keeping you informed about the spread of COVID-19 cases.

Please feel free to contact your child’s school office if you have any questions.  As always, we will inform you if there are any new cases within our district.

Sincerely,

Beecher T. Baker Sr.,

Superintendent of Schools
