Erin D. Anderson, the daughter of Stacey and the late Keith Anderson, and Jason Clay of Lake Luzerne, has been named the Valedictorian of the Class of 2015. Winner of the University of Rochester George Eastman Leadership Award and the St. Lawrence/Augsbury North Country Award, Erin has distinguished herself as President of the Key Club and as a member of the National Honor Society and Math Honor Society. COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS
Congratulations to Dylan Walker, son of Jacqueline and Teddy Walker, who is the recipient of the Saratoga County School Board Associations’ Community Service Award. Dylan is a solid student and an exceptional young man. His commitment to school, community, church, and family has resulted in outstanding outcomes in all areas. Respected as a genuinely kind and caring person, Dylan always goes out of his way to lend a helping hand to fellow students. Outside school, Dylan’s accomplishments are truly outstanding. A dedicated volunteer, he has spent countless hours over three years working with the Glens Falls Hospital Volunteer Program. Dylan takes a special interest in making sure patients and their families are supported during stressful and challenging times. Community service at his church has played a significant role in Dylan’s life. Recently, he helped plan and carry out a mission trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to help feed and support homeless families. Locally, not only does he contribute consistently as an acolyte, crucifer, and lector at the church, he also volunteers at Saturday Community Meals and often visits shut-ins who are unable to attend services. Dylan’s love of people, gregarious nature, and caring personality will certainly continue to support many wonderful contributions to his community in the years to come. Dylan will major in Business at SUNY Adirondack next fall.
