HLCS TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE REVIEWS SCHOOL WEBSITE-SEEKS FEEDBACK
The school website is an important communication tool for the school district. The district’s technology committee has been tasked with reviewing the website and recommending improvements. The school website can be viewed by typing www.hlcs.org into your web browser. A survey has been developed to gather community feedback on the school’s website. The survey can be accessed by typing the URL into your browser.
The technology committee will meet again on November 24 to examine community feedback. If you would like to receive a paper copy of the survey, please contact the district office at 696-2378 ext. 108.
PTSA BOOK FAIR/BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
The HL Book Fair is coming!!! Santa is coming!!!
Book Fair Locations – Middle School LGI & Elementary School Wednesday/Thursday, December 3-4: 8 am – 2:30 pm and Friday, December 5: 8 am – 1:45 pm
On Saturday, December 6th: 8 am – 1 pm Book Fair Location will be in the George Doherty High School Gym Lobby.
Breakfast with Santa is Saturday December 6th, from 8:00 am – 11:00 am in the high school cafeteria
Adults (12 & over) $5.00 per person
Seniors & Children 5-11 yrs. old $3.00 per person
Under age 5 free; (1) Picture per family included – please feel free to bring your camera for additional pictures.
HL Youth Commission will sponsor free arts and crafts activities for anyone interested, in the elementary cafeteria from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
HOLIDAY VENDOR FAIR
The Holiday Vendor Fair is being held on Saturday, December 6th from 8 am-2 pm in the Hadley-Luzerne High School George Doherty Gymnasium. Vendors interested in renting space or a table(s) please contact one of the main offices for a form/cost or call class advisors’ Janice Waterhouse or Karen Love at 696-2112 Ext. 105 or Diana Berrigan at the middle school 696-2378 Ext. 101. This year the money received from the rental of the space/tables will benefit the Class of 2016.
2014 ALL COUNTY BAND
The Saratoga-Warren County Music Educators’ Association was formed in order to provide enriched musical experiences for our music students in grades 5-12 and share in efforts to stimulate interest in the study of music and encourage a carryover of school music training into the musical, social, and home life of the community. SWCMEA sponsors several festivals each year for students involved in band, chorus, orchestra, and jazz ensemble programs in addition to sponsoring a scholarship competition each spring and graduation award for each member school district. The SWCME includes seventeen school districts and over one hundred thirty music teachers. Congratulations to the following HL students for their acceptance and recent participation in the SWCMEA All County Band Festival at Queensbury High School.
Grades 10-12: TJ Harrold, Clarinet; Del Clement, French Horn and Zoe Fuerst, Flute;
Grades 8-9: Katarina Ball, Flute and Cody York, Trumpet.
