Our community has an opportunity to reconfigure the grades to support student academic and personal development.

Informational flyers are available at the superintendent’s office, regarding the proposal to reconfigure the grades in September of 2014. The grade reconfiguration will result in students from PK-6 attending school at the current middle school site. Students in grades 7-12 will attend school at the current elementary/high school. Key points about grade reconfiguration include academic, developmental and professional alignment, building renovation, financial impact and community support. To participate in discussions regarding this configuration please meetings of the board of education or contact Mr. Berry directly with questions.

To Parents of Hadley-Luzerne Central School Students:

As part of continuing efforts to reduce costs and improve efficiency, the transportation department will be consolidating several afternoon bus runs. The consolidation will impact students riding buses #143, #147, and #152. These students will be assigned to ride one of the following buses home in the afternoon: #124, #136, #140, #141, #146, #148, #149 and #151.  A few students on these receiving buses will also be shifted to other buses to make room.

In most cases, more students will be riding each bus run; therefore, we expect that afternoon runs may drop off students at slightly different times. We ask for your patience and understanding during the transition. We will begin the consolidation on Monday, September 16th.

Morning routes will not be impacted by this change; in addition, when the afternoon Extended School Day program is not running, students will be transported in the afternoon on the same bus transporting them in the morning.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact the Bus Garage at 696-2112 ext. 140.

The purpose of the account is to add an additional media communication method to the school community. Community members are invited to follow us at HL_CSD.
