BASKETBALL GAME AND FUNDRAISERS TO BENEFIT THE WEISS FAMILY

The Hadley-Luzerne Staff and Luzerne-Hadley Fire Department will hold a Basketball Game to benefit the Weiss Family on Friday, April 20th. This is a community event and everyone is invited.  The doors and concession stand will be open at 5:00 pm selling pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers etc.  There are numerous fundraising events scheduled before the basketball game starts at of 6:30 pm.  Game admission will be $5.00 per person. General Admission tickets to the game will be sold in advance or at the game. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the three main building offices and there will be a limit of 530, due to our gym capacity.   In addition, there will be thirteen baskets raffled off, as organized by the HL Key Club and SADD, with each grade in PK-12 supplying a themed basket.  The PTSA and Elementary School will be selling “No One Fights Alone” t-shirts costing $10 for a youth size and $15-$18 for an adult size. T-shirt order forms are available in advance at the offices. The bounce house will be set up and the Luzerne Hadley Fire Department will be holding a large silent auction the high school cafeteria starting at 5:00 pm.  All proceeds will go to support Devin and his family.  Additional monetary donations will be accepted that night or can be dropped off at the high school, middle school or elementary office; checks should be made out to HLCS with Weiss Family Donation in the memo section.  Thank you in advance!

AUTISM AWARENESS

3RD ANNUAL 5K WALK/RUN APRIL 28TH

The HL Autism Task force is sponsoring the 3rd Annual 5K Walk/Run on Saturday April 28, 2012 at the Hadley Luzerne Elementary School.  Registration is a 8:30 AM and the Walk/Run starts at 9:00 AM. $20 Early Registration Fee (if received by April 15th) or $30 Registration Fee on the day of the 5K (April 28.)  Donations are also being accepted: Make checks payable to the Hadley Luzerne Autism Task Force, Attention: Barbie Eichorst, PO Box 200, 273 Lake Avenue, Lake Luzerne, NY 12846.

 

KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP

Hadley-Luzerne Elementary School will be conducting its annual Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday, May 1st and Wednesday, May 2nd 2012. The Round-Up will take place at the Hadley-Luzerne George Doherty Gymnasium Lobby, 273 Lake Avenue, Lake Luzerne, NY 12846.  Students are eligible for Kindergarten if they turn five years of age on or before December 1, 2012.  If you read this notice and know of any family member or neighbor with school age children who are eligible to attend Kindergarten, please share this announcement with them.  Please send the following information to the Hadley-Luzerne Central School Elementary School Office, PO Box 200, Lake Luzerne, NY  12846: Name of Child, Date of Birth, Gender, Parent/Guardian, Address, Phone and Email.  You will receive an informational letter back that will include a scheduled time for you and your child to attend the Kindergarten Round-Up.  Should you need any additional information regarding Kindergarten Round-Up, call the Elementary School at 696-2112 x 101.

 

ANNUAL VOTE

The Annual Budget Vote and Election will be held on Tuesday, May 15, at the Stuart M. Townsend Middle School, LGI room, 27 Hyland Drive in Lake Luzerne from noon to 8:00 PM.  For more information or to apply for an absentee ballot, please call the District Clerk at 696-2378 x108.
