Interim Superintendent's Views 11/10/11

Please be aware on Thursday, December 1, 2011 students in grades K-12 will have a half-day of school due to a staff development day for faculty. BOCES Vo-Tech students will not attend BOCES that day. There will not be late buses and there will not be any ESD program.
The dismissal schedule will be as follows:
11:00 Middle School Dismissal
11:10 Elementary Students Dismissal
11:13 High School Students Dismissal
11:18 Buses Leave High School

Come help us celebrate “Hadley-Luzerne High School Night” with the Adirondack Phantoms hockey team at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Wednesday, November 30th. Our very own high school select chorus will be performing the national anthem. Tickets will be available to pre-order through November 22nd in the high school office at a discounted price of $13.00 for adults and $11.00 for children aged 14 years and under. Tickets will be reserved and available for pick up at the “Will Call” window at the GFCC on the night of the game. Just present a photo id to receive your ticket.

Picture Retake Day for all three schools will be Tuesday December 6th starting at 8 am.
You can now purchase your yearbook on-line at or in any school building office!

It’s that time of year again!
The PTSA will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair, Wednesday November 30 thru Saturday December 3rd, at both schools. The schedule is:
Wednesday, Nov. 30th, 8:15 am – 2:30 pm
Thursday, Dec. 1st, 8:15 am – 12:00 Noon
Friday, Dec. 2nd, 8:15 am – 1:30 pm
Saturday, Dec. 3rd, (Breakfast with Santa) 8:00 am–1:00 pm

The PTSA is in need of volunteers to help operate the book fair. Please email and inform the organizers which school, and what time you are available to help. We are grateful for any time you can spare! All volunteers must be PTSA members…don’t forget to renew your membership!
