Bus stops are being set up to accommodate those students who previously were not eligible for transport. There will still be a shuttle from the Stuart M. Townsend Middle School (27 Hyland Drive) to the High School (273 Lake Avenue) and from the High School to the Middle School to serve those students who choose to walk to the building nearest their home.
ALL BUS RUNS, TIMES AND PICK UP POINTS WILL BE POSTED ON THE HLCS.ORG WEBSITE IN MID- AUGUST. IF YOU HAVE FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL THE BUS GARAGE AT 696-2112 EXT. 140.
EXTENDED SCHOOL DAY PROGRAM
The Hadley Luzerne Extended Day School program is entering its second of three years and is very happy to invite all students in grades 3-8 to participate in the program. We will be offering programming five days a week during the regular school year from 2:30 pm until 4:30 pm. Students that require transportation will be bused home from the program. Our Goals with our afterschool programming are to provide academic support, enrichment, recreation and 21st Century Technology skills to all enrollees. Through this grant we are partnered with Hadley – Luzerne Public Library and Cornell Cooperative Extension. These two partners provide additional enrichment one day each week. Additionally one weekend day each month we will be offering Really Awesome Family Trips (RAFT) to students and their families.
Registration forms will be sent home the first week of school, please fill these out and return them by September 12th. Programming will begin five (5) days a week starting Monday September 12th.
