Come See What 4-H is Cooking Up!

International Foods Festival is coming to Warren County Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) this March.  4-H youth have been hard at work preparing and perfecting dishes from all over the world.  This is the sixth year that the International Foods Festival will take place through the Warren County 4-H youth program.  Each year, 4-H Clubs choose a country in which they must prepare a dish that represents the culture and cuisine of that country.  The Clubs are also asked to make a poster and give an informal presentation on the country that they choose.  In years past some of the countries that youth have chosen to represent have been Russia and China and has been well attended. This program is open to all youth of Warren County who are interested in attending but pre-registration is required.

International travel is not always a viable option, so it is important that the youth of Warren County are encouraged and able to experience diversity.  This event facilitates in exposing youth to other cultures that they might not get to experience.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County will be hosting International Foods Festival on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 1pm to 4pm at the Education Center.  If you are interested in participating or attending, please contact the CCE office at 518-668-4881 or 518-623-3291 and ask to speak with Martina Yngente
