or in the same place when opened with a different browser. The information will
still be here, you might just need to scroll down further on the screen. Photographs may take a few minutes to load
depending upon your computer speed.
Also, some of the interactive sites might require flash player or other
media programs to run. Free downloads
are usually available at the interactive sites.
Please monitor your child on
line.
Please remember to fill in
the titles of the books your children are reading on the homework assignment
sheet. Your child is always welcome to borrow books from our class library if
needed!
BOOK-IT is under way! Don’t forget to fill in the homework
assignment sheets – we use them to verify if your child has met the goals for
BOOK-IT.
It
is December already! Our class will be
doing a lot of reading and following directions as part of our holiday
centers. We are learning about present tense
verbs and synonyms in reading, and we continue to work on reading strategies and
comprehension. This month is a busy one for
all of us, but I would like to encourage families to spend a few extra minutes studying
the math facts. In January the goal is going
to change from completing 25 problems in 2 minutes to completing 100 facts in 5
minutes! Below are some fun sites for your
family to help with the holidays:
Write & Email Santa Claus for a North Pole
Christmas! – email Santa and a personalized reply magically appears! Fun!

like to thank Jukebox Jim for reading to us for National Young Reader’s
Day. Jukebox Jim (a.k.a. Jim Skaradosky) is a local musician who agreed to be our celebrity
reader. He did a great job reading Arthur
Writes a Story to our class.
