Our thoughts on
the first day of school:
Michael—Happy! School is fun. I like learning. I like reading
and math.
Cody—I was nervous about second grade. I thought it was
boring. But school is fun. I am nervous about tomorrow, but I think I’ll make
it.
Rhiannon—Excited! Today for special we had library.
Jon—I was nervous and kind of scared. When it was my first
day of school it ended happy and I’ll like the second day.
JJ—I love this school!
Dylan—The first day of school was good. I didn’t know where
my classroom was. The first day of school was fun.
Cassy—I was nervous on the first day of school. I wasn’t
nervous at the end.
Moses—My teacher is funny.
Marisa—I felt happy. I felt nervous. I felt ok. I felt
great!
Rachael—Once I walked in my class I
were so excited that I’m in second grade. I had a really great day!
What is a Snuggle Bunny?
This is a question that I
asked the students. Here are a few responses.
If I had a snuggle bunny I
will take it to drive a car. I would turn a snuggle bunny into an Easter bunny.
If I had a snuggle bunny it would be the smartest in the world. I would turn it
into a dog. I have a tree that is a snuggle bunny. ---Jon
A snuggle bunny is a favorite
blanket or stuffed animal. My snuggle bunny is a stuffed monkey. His name is
PJ. He is a friendly monkey. I love him. I snuggle with him. I snuggle with him.---Rhiannon

is green and blue. He is not just a bunny. He is a magic bunny. I like my

Have you made a New Years
Resolution? Well, the students in Room 205 have. Here are a few examples:
MichaelàThis year my resolution will be to be a better
listener, a better guitar player, and maybe form our own garage band with my
cousins and brother. I will cut off the sweets. I will be gentle. This will be
a good year for me. I will be in a jolly mood every day. And be a better guy. I’ll
try to like writing more.
CodyàI will be a better listener and polite to people. I
will help people if they need help. I will be a hard worker if the work is
hard. I will be nice to people like friends. I’ll be a better person by picking
things up like toys or paper or garbage. I will be a better speller. I will be
a better friend by being nice to them and playing with all of them. I will be friends
with everyone. Happy New Year!
