CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY CONCERTS

The K-2 Winter Concert will be held December 13th at 10:00 am in the high school auditorium.  This year’s program will feature Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade students singing selections of holiday songs they have practiced. All are welcome.

 

The Stuart M. Townsend Middle School Students will be holding their annual winter concerts on Thursday, December 13th at 7:00 pm for Grades 6-8 in the HS Auditorium.  Please be reminded that the 3rd-5th grade will have their winter concert in February 2013.

 

The Hadley Luzerne High School Winter Concert will be held Wednesday, December 12th beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.  This annual event will feature the high school band, high school chorus and select choir.  The choir will be performing the “Hallelujah Chorus” and as per tradition, we encourage all alumni and members of the community to join us on the risers for the performance of this piece. We look forward to these exciting evenings to celebrate your children’s talents.

GARAGE/TAG SALE

The Third Grade is sponsoring a Camp Chingachgook Garage Sale on Saturday December 8th.  We will be accepting your gently-used unwanted items (clothing, baby items, toys, etc.) on Friday evening December 7th at the middle school…kindly set them aside from now until then. The Garage Sale will be in the LGI at the Stuart M. Townsend Middle School from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 8th.  Please support the 3rd grade class trip to camp…your children either already experienced this event or will one day…let’s keep this camping trip possible for all our students!

 

NHS BLOOD DRIVE

The Hadley-Luzerne High School National Honor Society is working with the American Red Cross to sponsor a Blood Drive on Friday, December 14, 2012.  The drive will be held in the George Doherty Gymnasium at the High School from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on December 14TH.  Please contact Mr. Scanlan in the High School Guidance Office at 696-2112 Ext 115 to schedule an appointment.  Walk-ins will be accommodated as permitted by the schedule.  PLEASE GIVE BLOOD.  WE NEED YOU.

2012-2013 Yearbooks for all grades PK-12 can be ordered on-line at HLCS.org or through any school building office! The price is $44 including tax.  Personalized yearbooks can be ordered at an additional cost. Order forms were sent home with each student.
