Members of the Hadley-Luzerne Central School community, firemen, local businessmen and parents volunteered their time building new dug outs and beautifying the high school baseball field and surrounding grounds. This was a great collaborative effort by all involved. Ron Deuel, Duane Moulton, Joseph Hanlon and the HL Booster Club led the volunteer effort. These volunteers will be given special recognition at the May 13th Board of Education meeting at the Stuart M. Townsend Middle School in Lake Luzerne at 6:30 PM.

Booster Club honored at Board of Education Meeting
The Booster Club was recognized at the May 13th meeting of the HL Board of Education for it’s contribution in the funding and building of the two dugouts at the high school field, as well as the baseball and softball field cleanup. Patti Cook, Booster Club President, accepted the certificate on behalf of the Club. In addition, a check was presented by Mrs. Cook and Jill Norton to the Board of Education in the amount of $2,500 from the Booster Club and HLPTSA to be applied to the purchase of a new electronic school sign. The sign has been purchased and will be replacing the worn, outdated sign in front of the high school in the next few weeks.
